Special bearings, a Hartford Technologies mainstay for more than 80 years, are engineered to excel in applications that involve several factors.
- Running extremes in load, speed, oscillation, or vibration
- A demand for low noise operation
- Low friction coefficient
- Exposure to contaminants
- Physical envelopes with highly precise tolerances
- A low-maintenance requirement
- The ability to install and dismantle quickly
At Hartford Technologies, we are best known for bearings manufactured from 52100/ GCr15 bearing grade steel, a chromium-containing, high-carbon alloy material with exceptional strength, wear and fatigue properties. Chrome steel custom bearings have a higher dynamic load capacity than 440C stainless steel and are substantially lower in cost than bearings made from tool steel material.
We also manufacture in several other grades of steel, stainless steel and plastic for corrosive environment applications, such as the pool and spa industry, medical devices, health and beauty aids (HBA), and the semiconductor industry. Additionally, we supply products in select engineered plastics. Glass rolling elements are another option for certain applications.
Hartford Technologies can custom design your special bearings to address work environment issues, extend service intervals, improve the performance of equipment, or even to save energy. Give us the envelope it needs to fit, the task it needs to perform, the weight it needs to be, and Hartford custom bearings specialists will engineer a solution that accomplishes all of these objectives – quickly, and at a competitive cost.
Hartford Technologies customers include the largest original equipment manufacturer (OEMs) and tier 1 suppliers. For these companies, we deliver large quantities of special bearings and other rolling elements, anywhere in the world, quickly and on time.
Hartford Technologies is a multinational supplier of special bearings for applications including automotive steering and seating systems, electronics assemblies and medical products.
Our bearing design engineers are among the most knowledgeable in the industry, and our ability to manufacture on both sides of the globe gives Hartford customers a substantial advantage in cost and flexibility.
